Customer Engineer, AI/ML, Google Cloud (English, Korean)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience architecting and building machine learning solutions, including data pipelines, ML pipelines, model training, and serving infrastructure.
  • Experience with generative AI, including Large Language Models (LLMs), multi-modal models, and leveraging application frameworks.
  • Experience presenting technical solutions and their business value to both technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Korean fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in English and Korean with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams (e.g., Business, Product Management, Engineering) to achieve customer outcomes.
  • Experience in designing and building with one or more from the following ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, or SparkML.
  • Experience analysing a customer’s existing data infrastructure and workloads to define a migration and modernization roadmap to the cloud.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and develop new business opportunities.
  • Ability to learn quickly, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.

As a Customer Engineer, you will partner with technical business teams as a subject matter expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business issues, engage in proofs-of-concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will use presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will have excellent technical, communication and organizational skills. You will partner with internal engineering stakeholders to improve products and build solutions, optimizing for results when in production and identifying ways to multiply the impact of the team as a whole. Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
  • Share in-depth Google Cloud experience to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Lead prospecting and acquisition of new logos, creating and building customer relationships from scratch, and establishing as a trusted advisor on their long-term technology and business decisions.
