Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in investigative or Go-to-Market (GTM) roles in fields like management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy and StratOps roles.
  • Experience in managing ambitious, strategic, and operationally complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing industry, influence executive stakeholders, and demonstrate problem-solving and thought leadership with limited or no oversight.
  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to deliver insights and recommendations for business direction and priorities.
  • Excellent executive level communication skills in all formats.

About the job

gTech Strategy and Operations (gSO) Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team enables the product area to effectively and efficiently scale their extended workforce operations while managing risk. Our goal is to enable our partners to make informed decisions to put the right talent in the right locations to deliver the best possible outcomes for their business needs. Our partnership with teams across Google aims to provide an excellent user experience and minimize administrative burden throughout the process. We assist with planning and strategy, and provide tools to support product areas in managing their xWF infrastructure. We strike a balance between optimizing extended workforce engagements and making sure all policies and guidelines pertaining to contingent work are followed.

In this role, you will be a part of a Strategy team which works closely with the xWS Vice President (VP), leads and other executive leaders across the Alphabet on some of their most critical priorities. You will scope, shape, lead and steer projects and drive impact across key strategic questions for the business. You will simplify and effectively communicate these problems, advocate and test stakeholders and collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders across the business. You will need to ramp up quickly, understand business context, be comfortable with ambiguity and changing directions mid-way, prioritize and quickly recognize what is most critical. With your collaborative, data-driven, investigative problem-solving skills, you will lead and manage multiple work streams, projects, and stakeholders across time zones on a global scale.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 194,000-199,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $186,000-$276,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

  • Own and lead complex, cross-functional initiatives for xWS, driving end-to-end ownership from initial shaping to final execution.
  • Identify and structure critical business problems, distilling complex data into core issues and actionable, high-impact recommendations.
  • Secure buy-in for potential solutions across a large, matrixed organization, effectively landing recommendations with executive stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Launch and lead organizational change plans for long-term initiatives, skillfully pivoting messaging and strategy based on stakeholder feedback and evolving needs.
  • Drive the simultaneous execution of multiple initiatives while preemptively resolving risks and collaborating across Google product area and cross-functional teams.
