Software Engineer, Search Platforms (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g. C++, Java, JavaScript), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with Programming and Debugging.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to interact with local stakeholders in this customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing pipelines, integration tests, documentation and reliability monitoring and alerting.
  • Experience with solving complex technical problems, and owning projects from concept to launch.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design, independently implement, and own the software solutions that will speed up Search experimentation.
  • Work directly on Search and influence how their engineers gather information and make decisions.
  • Improve latency and reliability on backends that affect Search Engineers experience.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams and roles to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Communicate progress, and manage expectations.
