  • 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, Consulting, or a related function.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Business, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive management and collaborate across different functions.
  • Ability to work in a changing environment, and drive operational initiatives.
  • Ability to be proactive and adaptable, and navigate change and ambiguity effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and business judgment skills.

About the job

In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the financial future of Google One, a business with over 150 million subscribers, and Google Photos, a trusted product used by more than 1 billion people, both of which are at the forefront of AI innovation. You will build the financial engine that drives sustainable growth for Google One and AI subscriptions. You will develop sophisticated financial models and Return on Investment (ROI) frameworks to provide an understanding of key business drivers such as subscriber growth, business performance, unit economics and profitability. The insights you generate will directly influence critical decisions on high-visibility projects, ensuring we meticulously understand long-term financial returns in all strategic product and investment decisions.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Guide strategic planning and decision making for Google One and AI subscriptions by developing financial models that provide a clear view of our business. Your work will focus on driving accurate financial forecasts, illuminating unit economics, and clarifying the long-term ROI of our products and initiatives.
  • Design and maintain data infrastructure and user-friendly models, empowering data-driven insights across the organization for use cases.
  • Establish and advocate for standardized financial frameworks, guardrails, and processes to accelerate velocity and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Forge strong cross-functional partnerships and cultivate collaborative relationships to drive unified financial strategies.
  • Transform analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives that drive impactful business decisions for executive management and key stakeholders.
