Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, business operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience planning and managing at operational level, leadership in operational initiatives.
  • Experience influencing cross-functionally, and with executive-level audiences.
  • Knowledge of business technologies, products and market landscape.
  • Ability to be successful in a globally-scaled product, business and engineering environment.
  • Ability to translate issues into simple language that people who are not experts can understand.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with impeccable business judgment and ability to move from detail to executive level strategy and presentations.

About the job

As a Strategy and Operations Senior Associate in the Global Business Applied AI (GBAI) organization, you will work directly with business executives and key leaders on critical business projects to unlock the full value of our internal business tools. Your innovation and collaboration will help in making the lives of Google Ads promoters easier every day. You will structure complicated issues, and find creative solutions to business tests and will be comfortable working in a rapidly changing industry. You will demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight, and will be an expert communicator. You will be working with key partners across global product leads for external and internal systems, product management, engineering, marketing, risk, compliance, legal, and finance.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities, create models, and deliver recommendations for business optimization.
  • Build and support internal systems and dashboards to empower stakeholders and improve selection-making.
  • Communicate findings to leadership through compelling visualizations and clear presentations.
  • Drive strategic projects and foster collaboration across departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Enhance processes, drive change management, and improve business cadence through strategic partnerships.
