Android Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer, gUP

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • 6 years of experience coding with Java or Kotlin.
  • Experienced in Android Apps Development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experienced in metrics, data collection and analysis.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders (e.g., Product Support Managers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, UX, Program Managers/Technical Program Managers and other gTech Users and Products teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges.

The gUP Core Ecosystem Account Strategy team’s mission is to drive healthy account states from a user centric perspective to foster a holistic approach for the Google ecosystem towards Product Excellence.

We are looking for someone with technical skills on Android to deliver integrated help solutions in a product. Our Ecosystem Account Strategy team is based in Dublin and we work with product and cross-functional counterparts globally. The role provides an opportunity to code in product, front-end and back-end, while representing end users.Google creates products and services that make the world a better place, and gTech’s role is to help bring them to life. Our teams of trusted advisors support customers globally. Our solutions are rooted in our technical skill, product expertise, and a thorough understanding of our customers’ complex needs. Whether the answer is a bespoke solution to solve a unique problem, or a new tool that can scale across Google, everything we do aims to ensure our customers benefit from the full potential of Google products.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Support Managers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers across Core to improve or develop solutions for users on Android to deliver on our integrated help strategy.
  • Deliver optimizations and launch support experiences on Android that are integrated and embedded into the Google Account.
  • Enhance and scale In-Product Help features and entry points across product pages on Android.
  • Pilot and rollout entry point to Help Guide in-product for Android.
  • Support the rollout of an Account Personalization focused external Authorable Workflows (eAWF) for Android.
