Technical Program Manager, YouTube Ops Partner Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams of technical backgrounds (e.g., engineering, product, marketing, business, policy).
  • Experience with software development and leading programs with engineering teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in building and working within measurement platforms, including media data platforms and Application Programming Interface (APIs).
  • Excellent leadership, thinking skills with the ability to lead and collaborate in a changing environments.
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, multi-tasking, project management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects in a changing environment.
  • Excellent attention to details, problem solving and business judgment skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The YouTube Ops Technical Program Management (TPgM) team centralizes program management for all YouTube Ops work. Our goal is to enhance efficiency, improve operational workflows, prepare for new product launches and growth, and achieve cost savings.

In this role, you will provide outstanding technical support for premium products like YouTube Music, YouTube TV, and Primetime Channels, as well as platforms such as mobile devices, Televisions (TVs), third-party audience measurement, and Shopping. You will help the partners including media companies, merchants, device manufacturers, and audience measurement agencies to deliver the product quality across the digital ecosystem.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. Responsibilities

  • Identify enterprise-wide opportunities to innovate YouTube Operation’s technical platforms and infrastructure.
  • Set and meet launch and quality milestones for programs.
  • Coordinate upcoming features to launch smoothly and on-time with cross functional partners.
  • Evaluate progress and communicate program status, risks, and next steps to internal stakeholder teams and executive sponsors.
  • Establish and improve processes, tools and documentation to ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration to meet growing or changing needs.
