Strategic Partner Manager, Music and Premium

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting.
  • 4 years of experience negotiating and managing the implementation and execution of term sheets and signed agreements with partners, and serving as point of contact to partner/internal stakeholders.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of YouTube’s and Google’s products and the industries they operate within including telcos and OEMs.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets/analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit, persistence, collaborative abilities, and intellectual curiosity.

YouTube’s Product Partnerships team accelerates the global growth and innovation of YouTube products by driving new business opportunities through partnerships. We own the business side of new features, products and initiatives that are vital to the success of YouTube. As a team member, you understand the landscape of partnerships opportunities across technology licensing/integrations, marketing, and distribution. You will also craft strategies, define and structure critical partnerships, negotiate agreements, and cultivate our relationships.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions and negotiate agreements with partners that support growth of YouTube Music and YouTube Premium. Oversee all aspects of partnership launches and in-life management, working closely with product, engineering, marketing, and legal.
  • Serve as the main day-to-day point of contact for a variety of partners, troubleshooting issues and responding to time-sensitive inquiries. Navigate cross-functional complexity to bring open issues to resolution and drive incremental growth for our partnerships.
  • Analyze partnership and seek ways to optimize growth. Influence the broader partnerships team with learning and strategies for future programs.
  • Support departmental strategy and operations, including goal-setting, financial modeling, forecasting and budgeting, evaluating new opportunities, and presenting recommendations to management.
  • Engage with internal cross-functional teams to launch, improve, and scale new features and Go-to-Market materials to amplify impact across markets and functional areas.
