About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

This team drives a structured approach to strategy, planning, and operational cadence across Geo Programs, Insights and Operations (GPIO) and Geo Data operations (GDO). We help shape the long-term strategy and translate that goal into roadmaps and OKRs. We aim for Geo's competitive edge and accelerate its mission by managing operations and enabling data-driven decisions.

As a Program Manager on our team, you will partner directly with executive leadership across Geo Data Operations (GDO) and Geo Programs, Insights and Operations (GPIO). You will play a key role in generating the strategy and operational cadence for the world's most helpful and innovative digital map, enabling us to redefine what mapmaking means. You will be a key player in managing the rhythm of the business. You will support strategic initiatives and help the organization stay true to its strategy by measuring progress, making adjustments, and making data-driven decisions.

The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.

The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. • Assist in building out strategy and roadmaps to transform operations.
  • Work with stakeholders to review and update scorecard metrics, ensuring we are accurately capturing the state of the business and our progress against strategic goals.
  • Provide program management support for high-priority, cross-Geo strategic projects working collaboratively with stakeholders across Geo.
