Commerce Business Development Manager, Google Marketing Platform

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing relationships with customers or agencies and service partners at an executive level.
  • 2 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to successfully pitch and sell in/gain adoption of Google product solutions.
  • Ability to provide insightful, data-driven strategic recommendations to clients and cross-functional stakeholders, including both external C-level and internal Google executives.
  • Demonstrated strategic, analytics, and sales approach to build client relationships.

As a member of the sales team in Google Marketing Platform (GMP), you are on the frontier of driving GMP adoption and long-term impact to clients and Google. Commerce Media is a massive opportunity for Google and we need someone with a unique skill set that is able navigate between the technical and sales side to unlock commerce media opportunity for commerce and brands. Success in the role looks like onboarding retailers with Google's new Retail Media solutions on DV360 and SA360 (across both audiences and measurement).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and senior partner stakeholders. 
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of how Google Advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives. 
  • Own the business cycle for retailers to adopt Google's product solutions (DV360 and SA360) for both audiences and measurement. Coordinate with other cross-functional partners to deliver and activate the full scale solution.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to design, build and integrate across the ecosystem based on market feedback, including bringing to the market pilot programs related to commerce.
  • Work with Product, Go-to-Market, and other specialists to bundle current Google solutions to create packages that help unlock Commerce Media Network for Commerce and Brands based on Google Marketing Platforms, and align and commercialize internally to our broader sales organization.
