Web Solutions Engineer II, Deals and Payments

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in full-stack development.
  • Experience with front-end languages (e.g., JavaScript or TypeScript).
  • Experience working with database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience using AI-powered development tools or incorporating pre-built ML models/APIs into projects.
  • Experience in multiple programming languages including Python, Java, JavaScript, Typescript, etc.
  • Experience working with systems for collaborative code reviews, version control, continuous integration and automated testing.
  • Experience with financial system development.
  • Experience with Protocol Buffers.
  • Experience with unit testing, agile project development, and bug and change management systems and passion for Engineering.

About the job

As a Youtube's Web Solutions Engineer, you will innovate and develop software-based solutions for complex business problems.You will be working with automation, building scalable solutions, and developing software engineering standard procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Build, and deploy scalable software platforms for teams within YouTube.
  • Ensure that all technical solutions are implemented in a way that enables scalability and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with product leads and engineers to enhance core platforms and create applications using standard and Google-specific software development tools.
  • Implement features and fixes in new and existing systems based on technical designs in compiled or scripted languages.
  • Analyze, review, and modify programs to increase operating efficiency or meet new requirements as well as execute testing, debugging, maintenance or program updates.
