Technical Program Manager, Data and Analytics

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with data analytics tools and reporting platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience establishing methods, tools, and process improvements and organizational change management.
  • Knowledge of aptitude in data, metrics, analysis and trends and applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation.
  • Excellent business acumen and investigative skills, with the ability to identify and frame business problems that can be addressed with data-driven solutions

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a technical program manager, you will be responsible for providing analytics with actionable insights that aid planning, decision-making and predictable execution of product, platform and customer priorities. As a member of the team, you will showcase significant talents for program management, mobilize cross-functional teams, deliver solutions for scale and data-driven decision making that drive efficiency outcomes in our products and how we work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analytics and insights initiatives not only by outlining the solution, but also proposing which problems to work on leveraging their analytical /technical/business expertise, driving the solution to fruition, gaining credibility and trust with decision makers (VPs and Directors) by being a thought partner.
  • Develop a hub of cross-domain business metrics for executive leadership that provide regular insights, trend analysis and leading indicators on health of the business to aid decision-making.
  • Identify the most important business problems, translating these to tractable data science questions, process data, perform analysis, and communicate results to stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  • Frame simple, elegant solutions in the form of data visualizations providing a narrative to business questions spanning multiple vertical and horizontal domains.
