Director of Agency and Partners, LCS

Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in sales, marketing, or related commercial field.
  • Experience in relevant industries such as media sales, technology sales, agency, or client side sales leadership.
  • Experience in sales coaching of both Sales Managers and Sellers, and leading an organization through your report managers.
  • Experience presenting to clients and stakeholders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree or consulting experience.
  • Experience working with or for major media/creative agencies, and in sales, business development, or client relationship management.
  • Experience in influencing and building effective relationships at the executive decision-making level (C-level) cross-functionally in a complex matrixed, multinational organization.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional understanding of media businesses and management operations.
  • Understanding of the Southeast Asia digital landscape, including competitors and key partners/customers, including emerging partners in the creator ecosystem.
  • Entrepreneurial and ability to set up and successfully run large advertiser facing projects.

About the job

As the Director of Agency and Partners, you will lead an executive ad sales team, helping our most strategically important partners across Southeast Asia grow their end clients and their own businesses with Google. As a leader, you will be actively involved across markets, partnering with country leadership and working with C-levels at agencies and partners, helping them grow and deliver through successful partnership. You will coach and evolve a high performing and geographically distributed team.

In this role, you will be a strategist and coach-in-chief, bringing out the very best in a high energy organization. You will understand the key role agencies and partners play for customers and for Google, and how they operate as businesses in their own right. You will establish clear strategies to partner effectively with the members of the ecosystem, and drive mutually beneficial growth. You'll be comfortable partnering internally as well as externally, upskilling and collaborating with customer teams to bring the best of Google and maximize the agency/partner channel.

In addition, you will also inspire a diverse team of sellers and managers, creating a culture of learning, achievement, and belonging. You will take initiative, solve problems, and explain complex issues.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a geographically distributed organization of sales managers and sellers, growing Google’s advertising agency partners, end clients, and ad spend.
  • Create differentiated and competitive agency/partner-focused sales strategies to drive revenue growth and strategic product adoption.
  • Provide enterprise advertisers and media agencies with the appropriate technology, capability, and tools to enable them to differentiate and win in the digital advertising space.
  • Use coaching as a daily practice to develop the team’s sales skills and commercial acumen, at every level of the organization.
  • Act as a role model and advocate for a high energy sales culture. Serve as a trusted advisor for agency C-levels, helping define success with the partner ecosystem and act as an advocate for agencies and partners within Google.
