Key Account Director, Federal Public Sector, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or strategic account management at a B2B software company.
  • 10 years of experience in sales covering German public sector and federal entities.
  • Experience working with the German Federal Public sector.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and German in order to manage client relationships in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience selling cloud solutions, infrastructure software, databases, analytic tools, or applications software across public sector, aligning solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience growing an existing customer base and acquiring new clients at scale, to increase business growth.
  • Experience working with, and leading, cross-functional teams and partners in implementations and negotiations.
  • Experience with commercial and legal negotiations, working with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
  • Experience cultivating C-level relationships and influencing executives.
  • Understanding of German Public Procurement law and processes (Vergaberecht).

As a Senior Key Account Executive for the Google Cloud Public Sector team, you will empower the German public entities on federal, state and communal level to address critical challenges. We work seamlessly with Google Cloud Product, Engineering, and Partner teams to deliver tailored, cutting-edge solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Google Cloud's growth within Germany's key federal accounts.
  • Build and deepen executive-level relationships, becoming a trusted advisor who influences strategic technology and business decisions.
  • Position Google Cloud's sovereign and secure cloud, data, and AI solutions to help solve even the most complex customer challenges.
  • Lead the full business cycle, from developing comprehensive account strategies to facilitating and closing multi-year agreements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and Google Partners to maximize impact and accelerate the digital transformation of the German federal government.
