Minimum qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently to engage with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in a management consultancy, strategy, or go-to-market role in the tech/consumer goods/telco industry.
  • 2 years of experience creating complex data sets, data modeling, and reporting.

About the job

The Device and Services Business Organization (DSBO) brings Google’s software and hardware to our users by bringing to market and distributing a Google-branded hardware portfolio. The team is responsible for managing partnerships with carriers, retailers and promoters, and designing the commercial strategy for the Pixel, Nest and Fitbit portfolio.

The Pixel Mobile Products (PMP) Category Business Managements team supports the APAC Devices and Services Business Organization (APAC DSBO) and Sales teams on developing and executing our category Go-to-Market strategy. This includes analyzing market insights, business performance and partnering Sales teams on planning of sales promotions and management of channel sales incentives budgets to drive growth of our Pixel and ecosystem products.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Japan DSBO Country lead, Sales leads and partner managers to develop the Go-to-Market strategy and sales plans for Pixel, delivering the in-year business plan and assessing medium term opportunities.
  • Lead coordination of promotions planning and sales/channel incentives budget management across the Pixel portfolio in Japan to enable achievement of quarterly and annual business goals and profitability metrics.
  • Drive analysis on market trends, engaging insights and Pixel business performance and develop recommendations on sales plans to help the Sales team unlock growth opportunities while mitigating risks.
  • Collaborate with various teams such as Strategy, Product Planning, Marketing, Sales, and Demand Planning, to develop and execute category growth strategies, launch new products, align marketing efforts, and optimize business and inventory.
