Group Measurement and Analytics Lead, Gemini App Marketing

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience working in marketing analytics using statistical techniques (e.g., significance testing).
  • Experience in systems (e.g., Big Query).
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders, and in managing research and measurement agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience with identifying the data set, analysis and solution needed to address stakeholder questions.
  • Experience with R or Python for statistical analysis and data visualization.
  • Experience with digitally owned and operated, and traditional media analytics (e.g., email, social, brand, performance marketing).
  • Experience in translating measurement outputs into Marketing optimization recommendations.
  • Knowledge of data mining principles, querying data sets, connecting multiple data sources, building dashboards in data visualization tools (e.g., Data Studio, Looker, Tableau), and statistical modeling techniques (e.g, regression analysis).
  • Ability to use data for storytelling for both technical and non-technical audiences.

About the job

As the Measurement and Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for leading data and insights initiatives that enable marketers to develop valuable global and regional marketing programs for Gemini App. You will be part of the fast-paced, dynamic Gemini App Marketing team, which is part of the cross-functional team responsible for establishing Gemini as a leader in the generative AI space.

Google’s goal for Gemini is to be the most helpful AI assistant by giving users direct access to Google’s latest AI models and capabilities. The Gemini App Marketing team plays a critical role in this mission, and is a fast-paced and dynamic team that is responsible for driving and delivering on ambitious strategic business goals.

In this role, you will own the Gemini App Marketing measurement and analytics strategy, as well as execution. In close partnership with marketers, product managers, engineers and analysts, you will generate insights that enable marketers to develop valuable programs. You’ll oversee audience segmentation, campaign measurement, analysis and testing initiatives supporting global and regional marketing programs. You will define key metrics and methodologies, analyze data sets, and design and perform statistical analyses.

You'll work alongside the Executive Director who leads the Gemini App Marketing team, and own the relationship with the Gemini App Product Data Science team. Partnering closely with Marketing’s Data Science and Growth Marketing team to define problems, acquire the right data to build robust, insightful and predictive models, and communicate results into recommendations that enable decision-making and drive business impact. You'll also partner with the strategy and operations team for strategic planning and reporting.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $211,000-$297,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own measurement and analytics strategy and execution for Gemini App Marketing, including defining reporting needs, learning agendas, overseeing methodology and definitions.
  • Conduct analytics to spot trends and inform marketing opportunities, and build tools for ongoing analytics and trendspotting across key moments throughout the year.
  • Track and quantify marketing campaign impact on business and marketing goals, while assisting in improvement of impact measurement methodologies.
  • Own Product and Marketing stakeholder relationships and drive insights and recommendations to achieve strategic business goals.
