Finance Analyst, Americas Ads

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle financial planning and analysis functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling within a multinational company setting.
  • Experience with SQL or Programming.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with large datasets and coding languages, database, automation or business intelligence skills (for example: SQL, Python, R, JavaScript, Python, Tableu, Looker, etc).
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and driving impact.
  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Ability to be organized, detail oriented, focused and to effortlessly multi-task in a constantly evolving environment.

The Americas Ads Finance team ensures that Google makes sound financial decisions. We balance the roles of trusted advisor and guardian to reveal opportunity, manage risk, and optimize investment across industries and products

As a Financial Analyst on the Ads Finance team, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our Ads Sales leaders to make operational decisions. You're a skilled multitasker working on multiple projects and processes at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to address big-picture issues. You will have a passion for operational excellence and a key contributor in a high-energy environment.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams and sales leaders to understand drivers of business performance and provide clear insights into drivers of business growth, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead decision making on investment strategies for products, identification of key market drivers for business generation and business profitability, and resource allocation.
  • Interact with other Finance, Operations, and Business Intelligence teams to assure strategic and analytical alignment, as well as data consistency and efficiency to drive analyses, tools and insights.
  • Manage and assist with various ad hoc projects.
