Business Program Manager, Data Centers

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
  • Experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable within accounting and experience in Vendor Management.
  • Experience with local tax and administration.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in vendor relationships and agreement negotiation.
  • Knowledge of local authority requirements to ensure the delivery of services and products.
  • Ability to build relationships and deliver results in a cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to support budgeting, forecasting, and manage purchase orders.
  • Experience in SAP, Sage, Oracle suite, or equivalent is also acceptable.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Third Party Data Center Site Business Program Manager, you will play an important role in overseeing the maintenance agreements of Data Center related systems. As a key stakeholder, you will lead cost control, contractor management, and procurement projects, collaborating with other stakeholders like the Environment, Health, and Safety department.

In addition, you will support local Data Centre Technicians by ensuring they are sufficiently informed regarding relevant processes You will serve as a local escalation point for Finance-related matters. Your role extends to supporting site management and other Business Program Managers (BPMs) in maintaining key metrics, providing data, and conducting analyses to facilitate informed decision-making.

You will have experience in budget creation, procurement and management, with excellent financial analysis skills, and the ability to oversee the execution of projects. Excellent communication skills, enabling collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an overview of project goals and deliverables presented on a timeline and use the roadmap to manage stakeholder expectations, and to communicate plans and coordinate resources.
  • Collaborate with team members or stakeholders to understand or identify work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
  • Conduct complete risk identification, risk assessment activities (e.g., budget, schedule, resource, technical), and develop mitigation plans, while monitoring risks and recording their evolution and impact on project/program objectives.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring they receive assistance in the local language, guidance on legal compliance, and acting as a local point of contact for audits.
  • Lead annual budget development aligning with the objectives. Provide estimates for operational and capital budgets, regularly review and communicate budget reports with variance analysis, insights.
