Head of Consumer, Government, and Entertainment Performance Strategy

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.
  • Experience with people management, and leading and developing a sales team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Performance Advertising (Search and
    Performance Max Campaign (PMax)) and thought leadership in Google's performance solutions.
  • Experience leading teams, driving go-to-market initiatives, establishing operational excellence, and fostering collaborative environments.
  • Experience developing and executing strategies that drive significant business growth and product adoption in large-scale client environments.
  • Experience in using data to inform decisions, solve complex problems, and translate insights into actionable strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., GTM, HOIs, IDs).

The Performance Strategy team is the link between product and sales at Google. Our mission is to drive business outcomes for our customers and business growth for Google with performance marketing strategies that utilize Google’s AI.

We are passionate about all things Performance and AI and are actively shaping the ever-changing world of digital advertising.Team members ensure we have the right commercial strategy for our Performance solutions and bring product expertise to both Consumer, Government, and Entertainment (CG&E) teams and their clients. They also serve as the architects and strategists for ALCS Performance priorities, responsible for crafting the vertical strategies to ensure those priorities resonate and drive impact in-market.Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and
industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $173,000-$243,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Performance Strategy Leads (PSLs) to deliver performance (Search + PMax) business growth and product activation in the Automotive, Food, Beverage and Restaurants, and Home and Personal Care verticals.
  • Establish operating excellence and strong collaboration within the verticals, and forge deep relationships with key partners such as vertical and product GTM, HOIs, SILs, and IDs.
  • Align quarterly and annual sector and vertical business planning processes with the needs at product level to solve for customers’ key objectives.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for driving business and product adoption across verticals. Develop best practice processes, share/implement them within and across the region ensuring their continuous improvement. Set the goal for future ads solutions relevant to CG&E partners.
  • Collect and escalate product feedback, advocating for the needs of your verticals and customers.
