Supplier Development Engineer (English, Chinese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in Electro-mechanical relatives manufacturing (e.g., molding, stamping, die-casting, MIM, Lamination, surface treatment process and assembly process).
  • Experience with supplier management and qualities.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Chinese fluently to support cross-functional stakeholder management in this region.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time as required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with electro-mechanical part (e.g., DFX, TA, PMP, PFMEA, DOE and quality control plan, Reliability Estimation Learning (REL) testing and validation).
  • Knowledge of two categories of electro-mechanical parts.
  • Ability to perform product characterizations and manufacturing process flow, data collection and analysis (e.g., distribution histogram/Pareto chart, process control chart) with excellent problem solving skills.
  • Excellent technical leadership and negotiation skills with cross function teams (e.g., Design Engineering and Operations).

Responsibilities

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining production in Electro-mechanical product Manufacturing in Pixel ecosystem Goods/accessories supply chain.
  • Develop vendor manufacturing processes, covering aspects such as material, process flow design, fixture and equipment buy-off, and production line qualifications.
  • Conduct supplier audits, lead problem-solving efforts, perform failure analysis, and drive issue resolution activities aimed at enhancing and maintaining supplier quality. Lead suppliers by providing technical direction to establish and validate process capability during the NPI phase.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers throughout the product lifecycle, from early engagement, NPI and manufacturing process to End-of-Life (EOL).
  • Engage with cross-functional teams and utilize Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design of Experiments (DOE), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and related tools to identify risks.
