Director, Global TV Subscriptions Product Partnerships, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in Business Development, including identifying partners, structuring and negotiating agreements, and partner management, and experience managing partnerships in policy-complex contexts.
  • 10 years of experience with partner management, agreement negotiations, and strategy and operations.
  • Experience working in the direct to consumer subscription services space.
  • Experience leading teams as a manager of managers, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, MBA, or consulting experience.
  • Experience establishing and managing cross-functional stakeholders and leadership through influence, and the ability to quickly master organizational dynamics.
  • Executive presence and experience presenting to executive leadership.
  • Ability to structure, analyze, and solve complex business problems, as well as deliver impact against concrete business goals.
  • Ability to effectively balance short-term tactical and long-term strategic goals and think like a general manager.

About the job

As Director of Global Product Partnerships, TV Subscriptions, you will lead a team and global program that is responsible for YouTube’s strategic relationships with the partner ecosystem that drives our key TV subscriptions business, forging alliances that help unlock growth around the world, driving awareness and adoption of new product features, and innovating in fast growing verticals such as the sports category.

In this role, you will utilize thought leadership, cross-functional collaboration, team management skills, execution, and an understanding of the dynamics of the streaming TV industry. As the team leader, you will establish and drive the global strategy for the core and emerging verticals of our TV subscription partnerships, including working with both external partners and regional stakeholders to manage and execute agreements that accelerate growth. You use influence and negotiation skills, research and analysis skills, program and product management knowledge, execution, and a passion for working in the fast-paced and often ambiguous world of media and sports subscription services.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $262,000-$369,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Own the performance of the overall global program driving TV subscriptions growth through distribution and marketing partnerships, including thought leadership for the global strategy, and close collaboration with regional leaders in APAC and EMEA to collectively deliver upon the market-level goals.
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team that drives the success of YouTube’s TV subscription products while fostering a culture that encourages creative thinking and thoughtful risk taking.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with a broad range of constituents, particularly in product, engineering, marketing, finance, and legal, as well as cross-Google leadership and with external partner executives.
  • Partner with and align senior stakeholders across a different geographic and functional landscape.
  • Understand industry trends and market insights to adjust to changing circumstances.
