Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, Management Consulting, Finance, or Program Management.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategies to solve issues.
  • Experience driving cross-functional go-to-market initiatives and leading teams without formal authority.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, Master’s or an advanced degree.
  • Experience influencing and building consensus among executive leadership with excellent executive presence and communication skills.
  • Understanding of integrated go-to-market models, sales processes, and the enterprise technology landscape.
  • Expertise in structured problem-solving and risk mitigation, with a track record of influencing peers and partners without direct authority to drive collaborative decisions.
  • Ability to build relationships and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Ability to grow in a fluid, ambiguous, and dynamic environment, balancing competing priorities and making decisive judgments.

About the job

As the Head of go-to-market (GTM) Strategy for Google Cloud North America, you will own architecting our GTM strategy, playing the lead role in defining our annual GTM and developing approaches to responding to emerging business opportunities on an ongoing basis. You will partner cross-functionally to support successful execution, including owning ongoing Quarterly Business Review (QBR) narratives and playing a key role in change management and communications. You will act as a critical advisor to the North America leadership team, shaping the direction and operational framework for our entire GTM organization.

In this role, you will coach and collaborate across matrixed Strategy and Operations, Finance, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to own the development of tactical viewpoints and narratives to shape the go-forward GTM within North America. Your leadership will ensure that we have a cohesive GTM motion that enables our sales teams to meet their growth goals and brings the best of Google Cloud to our customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the North America GTM strategy function, with overall responsibility for GTM tactical priority development, recommendations, and narratives for both annual planning and in-year motions. 
  • Provide thought leadership and serve as a executive subject matter expert on GTM strategy and operationalization levers (e.g., segmentation, compensation), utilize deep understanding to guide executive leaders and cross-functional teams on all strategy and initiatives.
  • Oversee the development of data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to solve complex business problems and unlock new opportunities for growth.
  • Represent North America GTM in global strategy forums, ensuring regional priorities are understood and supported.
  • Support the successful development and implementation of GTM strategy and global initiatives by partnering cross-functionally with relevant teams, identifying and mitigating risks, owning elements of change management, and managing stakeholder expectations.
