Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with Android application development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Experience with open source development like Jetpack.
- Excellent problem-solving and investigative skills.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Responsibilities
- Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
- Help to keep Google Fit infrastructure up and running by joining the oncall rotation.
- Work with other Google teams to improve the integrations and to migrate features and user data.
- Work with other Google teams to move data across different systems by contributing to the mobile apps, the Google Play Services modules and the backend servers and storage.
