Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
- 2 years of experience with process improvement, defining metrics, and using data to drive improvement.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or an advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience in mapping technologies, geo-spatial data, or data ingestion and processing operations.
- Experience with managing global field operations or working with outsourced vendors in a technical capacity.
- Experience with applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) or machine learning models including Generative AI to analyze data, automate processes, or generate business insights and requirements.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills with the ability to construct, articulate, and defend insights from analysis.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage data collection operations in outsourced countries, manage multiple projects and scope.
- Drive improvement for the Google-owned data ingestion pipeline by establishing systems to identify and address future needs.
- Create and maintain dashboards to track operational quality and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Product Management) and external partners to define requirements, manage dependencies, and build consensus on project goals.
- Exercise technical judgment to investigate technical issues within the data pipeline, plan capacity, tests proposals, and translate recommendations into a course of action.
