Strategy and Operations Senior Analyst, GCAS GTM

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience working in data analytics, consulting, data science, engineering, or a technical operations role.
  • 1 year of experience in statistical problem solving and analyzing data sets using SQL or comparable coding language (e.g. Python, R, Java, C++).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
  • 1 year of experience with designing experiments, developing statistical models, measurement, and identifying business opportunities.
  • Experience in data analysis, with the ability to solve problems in complex, fast-moving, and ambiguous business environments through strong data intuition and business acumen.
  • Knowledge of tools (e.g., Plex, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively communicate analysis and recommendations across a wide range of non-technical audiences.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As The Strategy and Operations Analyst within the Global Client and Agency Solutions (GCAS) Go-To-Market (GTM) team, you will play a critical role in providing data solutions and insights that drive sales activation, decision making, and influence future product commercialization strategy. You will leverage strategic and project management skills to influence decisions and focus areas for the GCAS organization, and help our leaders make informed decisions to execute efficiently and effectively.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000-$138,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Draw insights to inform Data, Measurement and Privacy focused business initiatives through work to inform future product development and shape activation strategies, bringing together disparate data sets where needed.
  • Assist in the research and application of data-driven insights that have a tangible impact on business performance such as business case development and business or industry trend analysis. 
  • Guide regional perspective on sales team and product performance in preparation for executive forums. 
  • Enable activation by devising product adoption goals with annual and quarterly projections. 
  • Develop user-friendly dashboards or data tables to enable goal setting and tracking.
