Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
- Experience with enterprise-wide/cross-functional project planning and execution.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree in law, business, compliance, risk management, a related field, or a recognized compliance certification.
- Experience with compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks.
- Experience bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous situations, with excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify potential risks, develop innovative solutions to ensure compliance, and to mitigate potential issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About the job
The Risk, Compliance and Integrity organization (RCI) brings together compliance, assurance, risk and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable businesses to innovate. The team's goal is to drive scaled, data-driven, and policy-based compliance programs. The team manages operations through risk-based prioritization and governance and consistent and constructive regulator engagement. In this role, you will collaborate across the organization and influence at all levels, as well as drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
- Own identification of improvements in basic compliance policies/processes and develop a plan of action to identify the improvements.
- Own regularly recurring report validation and analyze metrics to identify trends and diagnose effectiveness of compliance programs.
- Work with product owners to develop processes, policies, controls, and metrics that mature compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Lead/plan regulatory requirements with the team to lead projects or processes through the entire project lifecycle by driving outcomes.
