Logistics Operations Manager, Data Center

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience analyzing data and generating business insights.
  • 7 years of experience developing operational process solutions, and working with cross-functional teams to drive these changes.
  • 5 years of experience with logistics principles, transportation modes, warehousing operations, and international shipping
  • 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or customer service roles, with a focus on customer-facing logistics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certification in Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) and in Analytics and Operations Six Sigma.
  • 7 years of experience using data analysis to drive decision making and with building relationships with stakeholders or clients.
  • Experience in data center equipment environments or computer component manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other relevant operations coursework.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to apply structured thinking and logic to your work and provide solutions to challenges.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Operations Manager is a critical role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end logistics processes related to customer orders. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customer logistics inquiries and works cross-functionally with sales, operations, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of goods while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will possess strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills, coupled with an understanding of logistics principles and customer service excellence.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete order fulfillment cycle from order receipt to final delivery, ensuring accuracy and adherence to customer requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Serve as the primary logistics contact for customers, proactively communicating order status, shipment tracking, potential delays, and resolving any logistics-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Investigate and resolve customer logistics complaints, discrepancies, and delivery exceptions, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Track and analyze logistics Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, order accuracy, transportation costs, and customer satisfaction. Generate regular reports and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of logistics documentation, including shipping documents, invoices, and delivery confirmations, while adhering to relevant regulations and company policies. Leverage logistics software and systems to manage and track shipments, analyze data, and improve communication.
