About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a member of Solutions Enablement team you will work with cross-functional partner teams identifying top user pain points, translating them into business requirements, helping prioritize competing business needs, aligning executive audiences to gain buy-in, and influencing first-party and third-party product roadmaps ensuring governance across Google’s global suite of hardware and software products. You will balance Google’s legal, regulatory and compliance requirements with our users’ needs, and company’s values. You will interface directly with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams, allowing you to shape the future of the Global Affairs solutions and technology ecosystem.

Additionally, you will have experience in getting things done to drive organizational-wide impact. You will be a subject matter expert in
Google Analytics core functions (government affairs/public policy, legal, regulatory, compliance), process design and re-engineering, high-level architecture and solution design, Product Development Life-cycle / Software Development Life-cycle practices to help develop solutions and proof-of-concepts, and effectively collaborate with product and engineering teams to build scalable technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full program life-cycle of first-party and third-party technical and process implementation through defining, planning, and delivery phases, and ensure the completion of scoped projects on established timelines.
  • Develop and manage the necessary program design structures for effective execution, and drive supporting communications plans, program charters, tracking, and reporting functions to ensure success.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand key business and user needs, identify strategic solutions, and document business requirements (e.g., BRD).
  • Contribute to the development of tooling and solutions goal, strategy and roadmap for Global Affairs stakeholders in partnership with engineering teams such as Legal and Risk Engineering, Privacy, Safety and Security.
  • Perform a wide range of business processes, data, and technology assessments to drive solution design and inform resource investments.
