Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the OEM, Telecom or Technology industries.
- Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
- Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA or JD.
- Experience escalating and presenting key issues and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Experience working with OEMs/telcos in a business development capacity.
- Ability to facilitate discussions, structure agreements, interpret legal documents, and work with legal teams to sign and manage agreements.
- Ability to grasp complex technical and product concepts.
- Ability to grow in fluid, collaborative, and ambiguous start-up like environments where thoughtfulness, an entrepreneurial mindset, execution, and relationships drive success.
About the job
The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with business acumen and product knowledge, you interact with our partners, and help them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. You will have knowledge of verticals and relationships with key industry players will help support our great applications and content for products such as Search and Gemini.
As the Head of Partnerships for Apple and iOS ecosystem, you will support and lead engagements with Apple and other partners to advance product road maps on mobile devices across Search and Gemini App. You will be responsible for setting partnership strategy, managing high-priority relationships with key partners and internal Senior Executives, and executing with the partner. You will also establish formal agreements with these partners to promote product distribution or bespoke technical integrations. A key enabler for success will be your ability to work with cross-Product area (P&D) and cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal) to manage relationships, balance priorities from different Product Areas (PAs), and bring complex agreements to fruition. In addition, the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively will be important for success.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Responsibilities
- Oversee partner engagement and relationship by tracking business/technology metrics and insights, building business forecasts, and ensuring brand/reputation management.
- Oversee relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders/teams to drive the best partner experience and ensure product excellence.
- Oversee partner experience to ensure agreement integration which includes discussing and finalizing agreements, executing on account plans, pitching to partners, resolving partner issues and advocating on behalf of the partner.
- Oversee partner strategy, including new partner and opportunity prospecting.
- Conduct partner/industry research and collaborate on product strategy.
