Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Platform

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in solution engineering.
  • 3 years of experience in stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting.
  • 3 years of experience in system architecture and reading code (e.g., Python).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
  • Experience with community involvement, volunteering, mentorship or other work that shows commitment to betterment of others.
  • Knowledge of public clouds including platform and infrastructure as a service.
  • Ability to lead and organize the design and implementation of AI-based custom developed cloud solutions.
  • Ability to educate on behalf of the Google Cloud Platform.

About the job

As an EMEA Solutions Architect with a core focus on Security and Infrastructure Modernization, you will create and publish reference architectures, code samples, and decks to help our customers solve their security and infrastructure issues. We work with a variety of teams from Solution Management, Product, and Customer Engineering to create technical materials for GTM motions. In addition, we work with customers to validate our approach and meet customers where they are.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate technical discussions with customers, partners, and Googlers.
  • Provide subject matter expertise around public cloud, security, and Infrastructure, and effectively promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
  • Support account managers and Sales Engineering teams as needed through all phases of customer engagement.
  • Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations adapted for technical and business stakeholders.
  • Provide customer and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams to help shape product direction.
