Legal Specialist, Litigation

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of litigation support experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant at a law firm or in-house legal department.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of relevant work experience as a Paralegal or Legal Specialist, including experience with electronic discovery, Internet technology, antitrust matters, regulatory investigations and general litigation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to review and organize numerous documents in legal matters.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$145,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Assist Litigation Counsel in managing document preservation, collection, review and production procedures, including evaluating new technologies and vendors.
  • Work collaboratively with the Litigation and Discovery teams, as well as other groups at Google, to ensure our internal systems work well with our discovery procedures.
  • Supervise document retrieval and document production, coordinating with external legal counsel in litigation matters.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on specific assignments, review preliminary advice and provide internal recommendations.
  • Support special project work, including data analytics and tooling development.
