Data Center Security Manager, Compliance, Safety, Risk Management

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in managing, sourcing, or procuring business resources and vendors.
  • 5 years of experience in co-ordinating or managing resources for data center locations, and leading operational or project based work and tasks.
  • Experience with security technologies such as CCTV, access control, incident management systems or security operations centers.
  • Experience managing technical and non-technical groups to drive business outcomes.
  • Experience with corporate physical security.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in developing and deploying processes to mitigate risk.
  • 2 years of experience in co-ordinating, leading security, and planning security operations or strategy for security programs.
  • 2 years of experience managing incidents and crises.
  • 2 years of experience with data center technologies, infrastructure, and methodologies.
  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed contracted workforce.

As a Data Center Security Manager, you will deliver full pieces of a project and make significant contributions with minimal guidance. You will use your knowledge of security technology, data analysis, and data visualization to plan efforts of a team responsible for small to medium sized initiatives by delivering value-added perspectives and influencing project direction. You will contribute to cross-team collaborations, identify and recommend multiple creative ways to solve defined problems. You will also demonstrate the behaviors expected of all Googlers as captured in Google's cultural pillars, and will engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations, making Google a better place to work.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $101,000-$144,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the compliance, security and risk management program at the data center campus or related infrastructure which includes managing site security incidents, escalations, guard agreement management, and all other physical security related issues.
  • Provide after hours on-call support and serve as the primary contact for emergencies, event response and crisis management.
  • Conduct investigations into code of conduct violations, workplace injuries and security incidents, as well as Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments (TVRA).
  • Enforce compliance processes in alignment with Compliance, Safety, and Risk Management (CSRM) policies, standards, guidelines, and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Manage security-related budgets, forecasts and invoice control for the assigned campus while supporting financial analysis and decision-making for security requirements.
