Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in business development, investment banking, private equity, management consulting or partnerships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in automotive, hardware or software industry.
- Knowledge of the Android platform and ecosystem, with the ability to communicate its value to the external counterparts.
- Ability to interpret legal documents, negotiate agreements, and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
- Ability to communicate and review agreements in English and another Asia-Pacific (APAC) language, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean or Indonesian as this role will need to liaise with multiple stakeholders across APAC.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with partner’s and Google’s executive management.
About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.You will lead the negotiation of the license and distribution agreements with external partners for Android and Google services adoption to their platforms. You will represent Android Auto to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and related suppliers, inspiring the partners with concepts of new experiences we are enabling in connected cars. You will identify industry trends and influencers.
Responsibilities
- Grow existing business through business reviews, mutual goal setting, building strategies to optimize performance, and driving new projects.
- Drive and track adoption of Android or Google services across the automotive industry.
- Lead negotiations with external partners, analyze issues through the decision making process.
- Focus on closures of license and distribution agreements by aligning on business goals of the partners and positioning Android and Google services in their strategy.
- Drive new business opportunities and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of business issues with partners.
