Fabrication Technician, Wafer Fab (Nights)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with infrastructure, tools, and automation.
  • 1 year of experience with hardware engineering and with manufacturing processes, and with material properties and material selection.
  • Experience operating machinery (e.g. CNC 5-axis).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a fabrication operator in a semiconductor or microelectronics manufacturing environment.
  • 3 years of experience operating machinery (e.g. Manual and CNC 3-axis).
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor wafer fabrication processes, and experience operating various fabrication equipment.
  • Track record of reliability and proficiency, including experience with working extended periods of time in the cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to identify and report equipment malfunctions or process deviations promptly and accurately.
  • Good attention to detail and precision in executing complex operational procedures and monitoring critical process parameters.

The Raxium operations team undertakes the manufacturing and logistical operations at Raxium's semiconductor manufacturing fabrication facility in Fremont, CA where the proprietary and state of the art microLED displays are fabricated. Raxium has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as Augmented Reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team, with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

As a Semiconductor Fabrication Technician (Night Shift), you'll be instrumental in our cleanroom operations, executing all wafer fabrication process steps, including photolithography, etch, thin films, epitaxy, and metrology during 12-hour night shifts. Your meticulous adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards is paramount. You'll ensure seamless production flow, achieve our production goals, and maintain optimal factory floor operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $87,000-$125,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all cleanroom protocols and procedures to maintain a meticulously clean and organized environment, ensuring the integrity of the fabrication process and preventing contamination.
  • Uphold and advocate all safety procedures and guidelines, actively contributing to a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Promptly report any safety concerns or incidents.
  • Operate, set up, load, and monitor a variety of complex wafer fabrication equipment, including but not limited to photolithography, etching, and deposition tools. Ensure accurate parameters are selected for each run according to MES, inspect wafers post processing, document any abnormalities, and perform accurate transactions in the MES.
  • Record material transaction in the MES, critical process data, and log appropriate equipment states in the MES.
