About the job
YouTube Marketing’s mission is to know our users, and to connect them to the magic of our products and creators. We make YouTube successful by shaping people’s perceptions of YouTube and inspiring them to engage with us. We’re also responsible for all of YouTube’s marketing activities to consumers, creators, and key opinion influencers.
The Growth team focuses on strategies and tactics across the entire user funnel to acquire and retain users. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing retention growth strategies for YouTube’s creator ecosystem, with a focus on creator engagement. You will work closely with peers in Marketing and cross-functional stakeholders in Data Science, Product Management, and Engineering.
With the existing viewership of YouTube, you’ll find a huge opportunity to reach users in the right context with the right message on our platform while also ensuring strategic direction and learnings are integrated into off-platform channels.
You will be well versed with growth processes, tactics and best practices. You will care deeply about how our business grows and how our users behave and apply these insights to develop innovative, high impact growth strategies.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the retention growth strategy for product areas, in partnership with cross-functional marketing, product, UX, data science and engineering teams.
- Build and execute targeted lifecycle journeys to engage YouTube creators and drive key business outcomes.
- Analyze creator data and performance metrics to design, run, and measure experiments. Use data to generate actionable insights that enhance campaign performance.
- Develop and refine personalized, data-driven content and messaging strategies that engage creators and enhance their experience on YouTube.
- Own end-to-end campaign management, including audience segmentation, messaging development, A/B testing, and performance analysis. Continuously monitor and optimize lifecycle journeys to improve engagement, retention, and overall business KPIs.
