- 8 years of experience in managing cross-functional/team projects.
- Ability to design process improvements.
- Ability to communicate across functions (e.g., Engineering, Product Product Management) and levels.
- Excellent investigative skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.
In this role, you will partner with the pillar leads and other cross functional leaders to enable the outcomes of the product portfolio. You will provide leadership and direction to a team of Technical Program Managers (TPgMs) supporting the organization, ensuring each person is aligned to business projects/programs. You will operate as a connector and a leader within the Core Data organization, representing the values and principles of Core Data in pillar-level work, and also participate in Core leadership opportunities and development. You will help support delivering infrastructure solutions that are used to solve data tests at Google that are used by engineers, data scientists, product and business analysts.The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. Responsibilities
- Implement communications standards across a portfolio of programs including executive and key partner communications.
- Define/manage a program portfolio solving problems that goals business impact for the organization and product area.
- Lead project management activities for a Data Analytics and Insights pillar. Own and drive launches and product migrations, mandates with a focus on milestones.
- Lead and develop a team of Technical Program Managers. Work with Technical/Product/Project leadership to develop and align project priorities and schedules.
- Manage interdependent projects across a global team. Manage stakeholder relationships (e.g., engineering, product managers, Site Reliability Engineers (SRE), User Experience (UX)) and customers.
