Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
- Experience in data center hardware category or commodity management, agreement negotiation and supplier development.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technical or engineering field or MBA.
- 7 of experience negotiating agreements across multiple data center hardware and software technologies including compute, memory, storage, and networking solutions.
- Experience with data center hardware commodities.
- Experience with full systems sourcing and business agreement negotiations.
- Ability to work, influence, and resolve conflicts cross-functionally with internal/external partners.

Global Commodity Managers (GCMs) work with multiple cross-functional teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Support the commodity management team with the knowledge of a broad set of commodities including hardware and software and coordinating with multiple teams and multiple technologies to deliver outcomes for the project management team.
- Collaborate with commodity managers and legal team member leads to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams which will include negotiation outcomes, while documenting goals and desired outcomes to reach mutually agreed upon results.
- Work closely with commodity managers to align on actions, and action owners and closure expectations, for individual workstreams to support customer solutions.
- Track and report program progress and updates to the overall GCM team collaborators.
- Track and publish negotiation intake, status, and closure metrics across multiple Commodity Management teams.
