Mandiant Senior Consultant, Government Clients

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.
  • 5 years of experience in delivering cyber outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to work with internal partners and customer teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in cyber operations obtained through previous roles supporting enterprise scale security operations, government or military clients.
  • Deep understanding of advanced persistent threat actors’ tactics, techniques and procedures and the attack lifecycle.
  • Ability to document and explain technical details in a concise, understandable manner in order to inform client decision making, investigations and operations.
  • Ability to discuss and advise on advanced cyber operations concepts.
  • Strong technical background in Cybersecurity, specifically one of the following areas: Incident Response, Offensive Security Services, Cyber Threat Intelligence.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

About the job

As a Mandiant Strategic Security Consultant, you will lead and support projects on behalf of clients that assess, test, or build their security programs. Project teams may range from 2 to 5 colleagues. Clients will range from start-up companies looking to supplement their security team to companies that need fresh ideas to enhance their perspective on the security program. You will provide guidance and advice to clients on best practices and managing the risks for their security program.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual with a strong cyber security background to help our government clients design, build and run cyber security operations. You will possess strong communication skills and be experienced in leading, developing and delivering a range of cyber capabilities. You will be required to deliver Mandiant’s proprietary National Cyber Capability Framework to a range of clients ranging across military, intelligence, law enforcement and national cyber defence organisations.

We work as a partner to global governments, multilateral organisations, and Critical National Infrastructure organisations across the EMEA region. Our consultants partner with these clients to evaluate, create, develop, improve, and mature their cyber security operations and programmes, from the national level down. By utilizing the latest industry standards and combining experience and knowledge gained from Mandiant Incident Response, we are able to develop leading cyber security programmes for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted partner to our Government clients, building and maintaining strong relationships. 
  • Conduct security program assessments and build roadmaps to improve client security posture.  Deliver Mandiant's proprietary National Cyber Framework Assessment.
  • Develop and deliver intelligence-led tabletop exercises.  
  • Assess security operations and incident response team capabilities and provide recommendations for improvement . 
  • Develop bespoke documentation such as incident response plans and playbooks. Deliver threat briefings to executive and technical teams, and participate in client workshops and develop reports.
