Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in leading across general management, sales operations, commercial roles, consulting, or corporate strategy experience.
  • 3 years of experience in people management.
  • Experience in business and sales.
  • Experience executing operational initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree or graduate degree in a management field.
  • Understanding of Google’s Ads products, sales teams, or service operations, as well as the relevant customer and competitive landscapes.
  • Ability to operate effectively with flexibility in a fluid, high-energy, constantly evolving team environment.
  • Ability to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to effectively influence, communicate, and drive change.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, people, business acumen and commercial orientation skills.

About the job

The Business Strategy and Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

In this role, you will lead Sales Enablement and Intelligence efforts, within the Business Strategy and Operations APAC Go-To-Market (GTM) team, working directly with the Regional Sales Leadership, Product GTM, Country GTM, Sales, Marketing, and Mastery teams. You will lead a team whose purpose is to ensure the sellers are focused, equipped, and empowered to accelerate business. You will do this by co-designing regional initiatives like academies, contests, incentive plans, future giants etc. with cross-functional teams and get buy-in from senior Sales and GTM leaders.

You will also act as a critical thought partner to both Sales and GTM Leadership for your domain areas. You will bring strategic thinking to solve ambiguous challenges based on rich business insights and come up with innovative opportunities to strengthen our regional sales enablement efforts.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Responsibilities

  • Design cross-functional holistic plans to ensure sellers are focused, equipped, and empowered to accelerate business. Be the domain expert on all challenges and opportunities related to sales skills, knowledge, sales excellence, and competitive intelligence.
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver solutions that meet the business objectives and sales enablement goals. Maintain external market perspectives and form opinions on competitive trends, industry challenges, and evolving market needs.
  • Contribute meaningfully to annual planning, lead activation diagnostics, set OKRs and priorities, assess and surface critical product trends for the region, and connect the dots across markets.
  • Maintain strong relations with global counterparts, and orchestrate working groups. Contribute to building a high-performing culture of collaboration, and open communication.
  • Influence global stakeholders to build solutions for regional needs, and regional executives to sign off on key initiatives and implementation plans.
