Senior Product Manager, Envisioning Studio

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working extensively in fast design sprints and iterative development cycles.
  • Experience leading early-stage product development or rapid prototyping initiatives, especially for zero-to-one consumer products.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application in creating helpful user solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, people, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty inherent in exploring uncharted product territory.
  • Strong product sense and taste, with a keen eye for impactful user experiences.

As part of the Technology and Society organization, we connect research, people, and ideas across Google and Alphabet to help shape and advance our most ambitious technology innovations and initiatives and their impact on users and society for the better, and responsibly. We also share perspectives, engage, and collaborate with others externally on technology related issues and opportunities for society.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a bold product strategy for AI-driven prototypes, focusing on areas like AI and Creativity and AI and Learning.
  • Guide and empower a cross-functional team of designers and prototypers, providing clear product direction and feedback to accelerate iterative development and design sprints.
  • Drive a hypothesis-driven approach to product development, uncovering critical product insights that transform advanced AI research into tangible, user-centric experiences.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with core partner teams including Google DeepMind, Google Labs, Google Research, LearnX, and other critical partner organizations.
  • Convert the potential of future AI products, influencing a wide variety of internal audiences to advocate and adopt successful prototypes.
