Head of Industry, Large Customer Sales, Automotive

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience influencing executive-level clients and stakeholders and driving results in complex, agile environments.
  • Experience managing and developing sales teams, and ability to sell and propose creative technologies across various landscapes of key decision makers.
  • Experience in leadership in sales/operations management, strategic planning, and systems thinking, and ability to align strategies and deliver customer business outcomes.
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Solutions, video advertising (e.g., AI-powered Performance, CTV, AI-powered Video) and the key competitor landscape across traditional and digital brand media advertising.
  • Understanding of customer business objectives and ability to develop joint business plans in complex, ambiguous environments.

In this role, you'll be expected to develop and maintain executive relationships, design and implement partnership initiatives, discuss large-scale complex agreements spanning media and platforms, and manage and inspire a team to develop and deliver against a business plan.

You will also drive transformation and look to accelerate growth of the Canadian Automotive business by leveraging Google products and AI solutions. You view sales as service and will be responsible for forging a strong embedded partnership approach to the auto business, growing and diversifying business, and serving as a key ambassador for Google in the industry. You pride yourself on cross-Google collaboration to help define how we lead our clients through this AI transformation.

We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Account Executives and Account Managers, set and communicate team priorities, and make decisions and support activities that align with Google’s values.
  • Develop long term c-level relationships across the automotive portfolio to influence and optimize advertising investments and set and drive business strategy, business, and product adoption for your Auto 1 clients across all major product categories.
  • Provide guidance and specialized expertise to a cross-functional set of Google teams on the dynamics, trends, opportunities, and challenges of our clients and implications for clients and agencies.
  • Create, identify, and execute unique business partnership opportunities, including leadership of cross-functional teams in the disscussion of large, complex media agreements.
  • Develop and bring strong thought leadership on your partners and help drive sales, implementation and growth, and develop and bring thought leadership and transformational ideas.
