Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering or technical consulting in the mobile/CE/embedded space.
- 2 years of experience in low-level/embedded systems, and internet streaming technologies within the consumer electronics or embedded systems domain.
- 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting and writing code in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, C++ or Python).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the consumer electronics or embedded systems industry, with an understanding of internet and streaming technologies.
- Experience with performance analysis and tuning in embedded systems and Android.
- Experience in a proactive, ownership-driven approach to problem-solving while managing multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Experience with Android application or platform development experience including Android kernel and Android Board Support Package (BSP.)
- Experience with Linux kernel, internals, device driver APIs and excellent communication skills with the ability to travel to mainland China to collaborate with partners.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
About the job
As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.
You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.
As a Technical Solutions Consultant within the Android TV Partner Engineering team, you will serve as the technical engagement manager ensuring the success of Android TV partnerships by optimizing implementations for quality, performance and business growth while overseeing all technical aspects to foster strong and successful collaborations.

Responsibilities
- Review partner implementations in detail, identify and resolve technical issues to ensure successful device launches and advocate for new product features based on partner feedback.
- Enhance product offerings by providing partner feedback and representing partner needs to internal cross-functional teams including product management and engineering.
- Optimize partner devices by debugging and resolving technical issues across the stack including system- on-chip (SOC), BSP, Android framework and Android TV specific application components.
- Support partner integrations for both new and ongoing by delivering comprehensive documentation and technical guidance.
- Identify, drive and optimize the business flow from new business opportunities by leveraging Google technologies.
