Program Manager I, Maintenance Planning, Data Center Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in preventative, electrical, or mechanical maintenance planning.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., Maximo, Infor, Datastream, SAP PM, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 1 year of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in preventative maintenance planning and facility management for data center operations.
  • Ability to develop maintenance plans and forecasts.
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.

The Data Center Operations team is focused on operating and maintaining Google-owned data centers, which house global computing infrastructure in a cost effective, efficient, and non-traditional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the flow of all maintenance work orders by working with Data Center Operations teams and vendors.
  • Plan and schedule resources needed to perform maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with facility management in the development and maintenance of schedules and resource leveling by utilizing the site Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program.
  • Establish and maintain CMMS equipment files, parts inventory, equipment bill of materials, and product management schedules.
  • Manage CMMS and work management processes at the site level to be used in the daily operation of the data center.
