As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
You'll be part of a team of submarine cable operations and maintenance experts who are responsible for the repair and maintenance of our Global Submarine Network. Working closely with the Google Submarine Network submarine cable construction team, suppliers, consortia partners, zone and private maintenance agreement participation, co-operation with internal operations management and network teams to ensure network reliability, repair co-ordination, operational planning and highest levels of performance at all times. Support the development of marine operation and cable protection whilst remaining operationally aware of industry and of quality within processes and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Take ownership for regional submarine cable operations, maintenance planning, incident management and lead cable repair co-ordination. Work with ship operators, maintenance authorities, CLS, NOC, outside related agencies and organizations.
- Review new cable systems handover from build to operate teams, ensure data quality, pre go live checks, and required maintenance solutions are in place.
- Represent Google’s interests in relevant working groups and forums within consortium-owned cables, ensure effective and efficient operational management of the shared asset(s).
- Monitor and review performance of key service providers, ensure maintenance service delivery is to a high quality and health and safety standard, and in compliance with agreement SLAs.
