  • 7 years of experience in multi-modal transportation operations.
  • 7 years of experience using data analysis to drive decision-making.
  • Experience in data center equipment environments or computer component manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of SQL, analytics and Operations Six Sigma certification or other relevant operations coursework.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As the Global Transportation Operations Manager, you will guide the execution of global transportation operations. In this role, you will enhance the customer experience and drive more efficient transit at reduced expense. You will be responsible for managing all activities related to transportation (e.g., international air, ocean freight, domestic transportation within regions) from suppliers to final data center facilities while managing total cycle time, performance, and costs.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a long-term global transportation strategy for inbound components and finished goods to ensure seamless delivery to data center facilities.
  • Drive network accountability by utilizing Key Performance Indicators and trending analytics to monitor cycle times, carrier performance, and total landed costs.
  • Manage end-to-end global freight operations including international air, ocean, and domestic transport to improve customer experience and reduce overall expenses.
  • Serve as the global subject matter expert to align processes and systems across information technology teams, third-party logistics partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead program life-cycles and continuous improvement initiatives, overseeing everything from business case development to change management and training.
