Technical Solutions Consultant, Google Distributed Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in solution engineering, professional services, technical consulting, stakeholder management and 1 year of experience in technical leadership.
  • Experience with Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies.
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to external customers/partners.
  • Experience operating in a hyper-growth, entrepreneurial environment and scaling new, emerging products and solutions from the ground-up.
  • Experience in Technical Writing, Product Management, Enterprise Applications and Cloud Computing.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience in technical product management, solutions engineering or technical marketing engineering in one or more cloud infrastructure areas of enterprise compute, storage, networking, databases, data analytics or AI/ML.
  • Experience working with modern cloud-native paradigms and technologies (Kubernetes, Istio, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, etc).
  • Experience building and deploying applications on cloud platforms and distributed systems at enterprise-scale.
  • Experience working on full stack products across hardware and software, hybrid and multi-cloud environments and services such as AI/ML, analytics, databases.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

The Google Distributed Cloud Product Management (PM) team has a mission to create the industry's leading private and hybrid cloud offering that brings our customers the best of AI-led Services, Solutions and Infrastructure on a platform that is secure, scalable and simple.In this role, you will plays a critical role in defining and building novel and scalable solutions that meet customer’s business objectives. You will work closely with customers, partners, Engineering, Product, Sales and Customer Engineering to develop these solutions. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Go-to-Market (GTM), and Product Management to scope new solutions that are aligned with GDC's Industry and Platform strategy.
  • Build customer and business facing technical assets tailored to key business use cases.
  • Rely on a technical advisor for enterprise GDC customers.
  • Unblock and accelerate customer adoption of GDC through engagements.
  • Use product development best practices to measure the adoption and efficacy of launched solutions, and manage Solutions life-cycle.
