Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in occupational health, with a focus on program development and management.
  • Experience in occupational health regulations, standards, and best practices in the specified region.
  • Experience in occupational health principles, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to travel within the region as needed.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, or other related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in leading occupational health.
  • 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization, including working in a multinational company.
  • Experience with medical and mental health and counseling services fields, health promotion and wellness programs, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and regional health regulations.
  • Experience in the technology industry.
  • Ability to develop and implement advanced performance metrics.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing occupational health programs and services across a defined geographic region. You will play a critical role in promoting the health and safety of our employees, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a culture of well-being. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Data Center Operations, Hardware Operations, Human Resources, and other key stakeholders, to drive positive outcomes and support Google's commitment to employee health.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead cohesive regional occupational health goals and a strategy that aligns with or exceeds industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and improve in-depth expertise in relevant local, state, and federal laws related to Occupational Health.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our industry leading Occupational Health Standards are implemented and continuously improved upon.
  • Create and deliver a proactive occupational health culture that promotes wellness, identifies and mitigates workplace hazards, and minimizes work-related illness and injury.
  • Demonstrate significant experience leading occupational medical/health screening and control regulatory requirements, risk assessments, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, case management, and work-related illness prevention.
