Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, templates, and Standard Template Library (STL).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with developer-focused products and tools.
  • Ability to align cross-functional stakeholders around common goals.
  • Ability to exemplify Google’s values in diversity, inclusion, and respect.

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. The Feature Platform team plays a critical role in rewriting the Search Stack. The team builds the model for the next generation of Search features and works on building a transformative developer experience. The team focuses on building Extension Points for features, run-time isolation of features, and solving complex distributed systems problems that come with remote tier-1 APIs. Our mission is to re-define how Search features are developed/iterated/released which aligns with ambitious product goals.
