Business Development Manager, Google Cloud Marketplace

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Partner Management, Business Development, Sales, or Channel Development in the technology industry.
  • Experience in public cloud solutions across SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS.
  • Experience in supporting a Cloud Marketplace.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience launching partner products and solutions, including channel go-to-market motions such as multi-partner solutions, procurement through cloud marketplaces, and consumption-based solutions, also experience planning and managing at operational levels.
  • Experience managing and growing technology partnership relationships with cross-functional teams internally and externally.
  • Experience interfacing with C-level executives in partner companies.
  • Experience working in a partnership role at a leading SaaS company.

As a Google Cloud Marketplace Business Development Manager, you will grow in a fluid environment, develop an understanding of internal Google processes, products, and teams in managing complex and important partnerships for Google. You will lead in managing or building relationships with key industry partners, executing agreements, and enabling Google to be successful. You will have the ability to collaborate with cross-functional peers, navigate a changing environment, and drive operational structure across the business.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Establish a pillar strategy and partner priorities that will inform recruiting and partner development focus. Be responsible for recruiting, developing, and supporting technology partnerships aligned to pursuits, data providers, and regulated industries.
  • Understand customer needs for your focus pillar and leverage those insights to advocate partner integrations with our technologies. Represent the partner to Product and Engineering teams.
  • Help partners leverage Google's technology to enhance their offerings, integrate with them to fill platform gaps, and extend our product portfolio. Work with partners to help land partnerships with customers, channel partners, and sales teams.
  • Own outcomes for named categories including driving Marketplace with large or multiple smaller ecosystem partners/suppliers as an individual contributor.
  • Lead the identification, creation, negotiation, and implementation of business development agreements that drive results for Google.
