Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product or program management.
  • 2 years of experience in a data-focused role (e.g., data analyst, business analyst).
  • Experience working on technical projects that involve cross-functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience using LLMs for problem-solving and workflow optimization.
  • A quick learner with a demonstrated ability to master new technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for solving complex problems with data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in building reports or dashboards using tools like SQL, BigQuery, and Looker Studio.

About the job

As part of Google’s Global Communications and Public Affairs team (GCPA), you will focus on designing, building and deploying cutting-edge technical solutions tailored to our team’s needs. This includes tools that provide AI-powered assistance to communications managers, forward planning and scheduling for our leadership team, as well as data products our insights analysts use for cross-channel intelligence.

This role is critical to making sure that GCPA makes the most of AI and innovative technologies. Your work will ensure that our tools keep up with the evolving technology, as well as the shifting communications landscape across media, social media, owned and operated and internal channels. You will build data pipelines and dashboards, develop, roll out and maintain 1st and 3rd party technical solutions. You'll build new solutions and partner with product managers and engineers to deliver more complex products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$175,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the maintenance of data pipelines, dashboards, and a portfolio of technical solutions.  Support key technical initiatives for internal tooling and automation, delivering high-quality technical work.
  • Use AI tools to drive workflow efficiencies and assist in testing and refining AI-powered solutions. Help drive the adoption of new technical solutions by supporting user testing and feedback gathering.
  • Assist in translating the needs of communications managers into technical tasks and help build components of prototypes.
  • Work with technical teams by assisting with documentation and day-to-day tasks under the guidance of senior team members. Support the lifecycle of features within key tools, including testing and assisting with user training.
  • Contribute to the development of data pipelines and tools used by our insights analysts and comms managers.
